Kristina K. Saunders is a Senior Portfolio Manager at The Colony Group. She has 20 years of experience providing investment management to both high net worth clients and institutions. She also has financial planning expertise and works closely with clients to identify their short and long-term financial goals, establish a financial plan, and create an investment portfolio suited to their goals. Kristina partners with clients’ tax and legal counsel to ensure that investment management strategies align with optimal tax and estate transfer outcomes. Her clients rely on her for honest, unbiased advice and consider her a sounding board on all areas of their financial life.
Prior to joining Colony, Kristina was a Portfolio Manager at Sterling Capital Management. She also served as a Portfolio Manager at Farr, Miller and Washington, after having held the position of Director of Research at a D.C. metro-based wealth management firm, and advocacy group on executive compensation. Kristina began her career at TCW Group as an equity analyst, supporting the research effort for both equity and fixed income strategies. Kristina has been awarded the Certified Investment Management Analyst® and Certified Financial Planner® designations.
Kristina enjoys outdoor activities, most especially when her husband and four grown children join her. She contributes to her community, actively involved in various church, sports and music programs. As a volunteer with the CFP Board’s Win/Win program, Kristina enjoys mentoring young women who are interested in becoming financial advisors.
