Nina Mitchell is a Senior Wealth Advisor and Principal of The Colony Group and serves as Co-President of Colony Sports and Entertainment. She draws on her deep expertise in investment advisory, financial planning, tax and family office services to serve an elite group of professional athletes, many of whom have retired to successful second careers. She also advises and coordinates the often-complex financial lives of professionals, business owners, and executives.

As a co-founder of Her Wealth®, Nina is a regular contributor and shares her investment and financial advice for women in the Washington, D.C. region on WTOP radio. She is a speaker, writer, and contributor for women’s financial advocacy and enjoys helping women to engage in all aspects of their wealth from creation to legacy planning. Nina was also named an InvestmentNews Women to Watch in 2018.*

Nina served as a partner with Bridgewater Wealth & Financial Management prior to merging with The Colony Group in early 2018. She was a Principal and co-Founder of MTX Wealth Management, LLC and served as President of SFX Financial Advisory Management Enterprises, Inc. She has also held other past senior executive positions at sports management companies, focusing her expertise in providing financial and investment advice to professional athletes, executives and women.

Nina earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Maryland. She holds the Series 65 license, and is currently a non-practicing Certified Public Accountant. She serves on the University of Maryland Smith School of Business Advisory Board. She is also a board member of the Boomer Esiason Foundation and the Lymphatic Malformation Institute.

In her spare time, Nina loves biking, walking, traveling and spending time with family and friends, especially her husband, Jason, and their two children.
